Holafly Ultra bundles flight claims and luggage protection into an eSIM plan: what agent builders should take from it

By Loris Mazloum

A connectivity brand is now selling flight claims and luggage protection. On Oct. 13, 2026, Holafly launched Ultra, a subscription tier that wraps unlimited mobile data together with help for travel disruptions and remote health and wellbeing services. For teams building AI travel agents, the product matters less as a plan to resell than as a signal: travellers are being taught to expect data and cover together.

What Holafly launched

Per Holafly’s announcement and a supplier release on TTG’s Noticeboard:

Why it matters for AI travel agent builders

Connectivity brands are building a peace-of-mind shelf. Ultra stacks several separate jobs, connectivity, delay compensation, bag claims, and care, on top of an eSIM. It is the same direction from another side: on Oct. 13, Cover Genius launched agentic embedded protection so AI agents can offer cover inside the conversation. Insurers are moving into the chat, and eSIM brands are moving into disruption. The traveller sees one question: am I covered and connected for this trip?

Agents should quote data and cover in one session. If a traveller already expects that bundle from a consumer app, an AI travel agent that sells an eSIM and stops there feels incomplete. The agent already knows the destination, dates, and flights. It can quote an eSIM for the stay, travel insurance, disruption cover for the flight, and bag protection in the same turn, show each price, and confirm only what the traveller accepts. Quote first, then confirm, with an idempotency key on each paid call.

A bundle is a product decision; a shelf is a set of choices. Ultra is a fixed monthly subscription built for people living on the road. A trip-based agent serves a different moment: a one-week trip may need a short eSIM and delay cover but no doctor chat, while a family trip may need cover for several travellers. Separate tools let the agent compose what each trip needs instead of selling one package to everyone. Our insurance vs multi-ancillary checklist walks through that decision for teams that already sell cover.

Partner models exist, but check what is actually callable. Holafly lists partnership models from affiliate links to API, white-label, and co-branding. Its public pages do not say whether Ultra itself is available through those channels. For an agent, the test is simple: can it quote, order, and get the install details back in-session, or does it hand the traveller a link? Our eSIM API guide covers what that looks like as tool calls.

Where Ancilair fits

Ancilair gives builders the pieces Ultra bundles, as tools rather than a subscription: eSIM plans and orders, travel insurance, flight-disruption cover and compensation checks, and protection for delayed or lost bags, alongside lounges, fast track, and transfers. They are exposed as MCP, REST, or CLI tools under one token. Each price is quoted on the call at the supplier’s rate with 0% markup, and nothing is ordered or bound until the traveller says yes. The Cover the trip recipe shows the pattern; setup notes for common hosts are on the agents page.
