# Cover a delayed or lost bag

Protection and recovery for a bag that is already part of the trip. The routed ids are anc.bags.quote, then anc.bags.purchase. Extra airline bags are a different job.

Then ask: "Using Ancilair, quote delayed-or-lost bag protection for this booking. Read https://ancilair.com/llms.txt. Call anc.bags.quote on https://api.ancilair.com. This is not an extra airline bag. Show the quoted price. Do not purchase until I say yes."

- One token. Supplier credentials stay on the server.
- The price is the quote on the call, at the supplier's rate, with 0% markup.
- A contract the team already holds is never metered, and it wins over Ancilair's account.
- A quote, a search, a plan list, or a requirements check is not a booking. The follow-up runs only after an explicit yes, with an Idempotency-Key.
- On Protect Group you do not name the product in the request. Lost-baggage cover is one of the products the quote can list. Ticket quantity has to match the number of customers.

### Blue Ribbon Bags

Partner API to list protection products and purchase a service against the passengers and the flights.

- `blueribbonbags.bags.quote` — Currency, passengers, airline, flights, departure, and last arrival. Returns the product and a price.
- `blueribbonbags.bags.purchase` — The product the traveller accepted, with those flight details. Idempotency-Key required.

### Protect Group

Pulse API. A quote is built from the booking. The response lists the products configured for the booking, and lost-baggage protection is one of them.

- `protectgroup.bags.quote` — The booking (dates, value, and a ticket quantity equal to the number of customers). You do not name the protection product in the request.
- `protectgroup.bags.purchase` — The quoted lost-baggage product the traveller accepted. Idempotency-Key required.
